Sunday Social: Vacations!! This is a fun one :)

You only need to follow this blog for a hot second to know that I LOVE traveling and vacations.  I grew up traveling and have no plans to stop!  Since my boyfriend and I are long distance, we try to take vacations together and pack in as many adventures into our time together as we possibly can!  After all, we met on vacation in Fiji :)
Needless to say, I was very excited to see this weeks Sunday Social topic! So lets get to it, shall we?

Best trip you've ever been on
This is a tie between Fiji and Hawaii.  Fiji was a vacation that was truly a once in a lifetime experience.  We stayed in a dorm-like cabin with 20 beds and met people from all over the world.  We stayed on a private island that only took 15 minutes to walk around! Literally, it was the resort and that was it.  Our days were spent swimming, tanning, going on sunset booze cruises, snorkeling and pinching ourselves to see if it was real.  Nights were spent around a fire, listening to live music and watching fire shows!
{Sexiest Fijian man ever. He had an 82 pack. Literally}

My other favorite vacation was Hawaii.  I went to Oahu with Dom and his family this past January.  It was Dom's family, and two close family friends with their families.  It was one huge 10 day Italian party.  There were gorgeous views, LOTS of drinks and even an engagement! I never wanted it to end.

Best idea for a girls weekend trip
I think beach trips are the best trips for a girls weekend.  A lot of guys want to always be doing something while they are on vacation, but girls appreciate the value of laying out on the beach for hours and just relaxing!  On the other hand, a trip into a new city is great for a girls weekend for all the shopping! How many men will trail along with the shopping bags?
Best idea for a couples trip
My favorite couples trip I took with Dom was to Montauk, New York, by East Hampton.  It was the best for a couple because it had a little bit of everything! There were fancy restaurants for date night dinners, as well as amazing boutiques for shopping, fishing boats, and surfing. It's a very short drive to Southampton which has great vineyards for wine tasting.  The quaint feel made it seem really private and extra romantic.  Any town by the ocean is the perfect couples trip in my opinion!

Best vacation on the cheap
The best vacation on the cheap is to go visit friends or family who live somewhere fun!  It doesn't have to be around the world or to an exotic place to make the vacation great.  Just getting our of your normal routine will be exciting and give you the refreshing feeling of a vacation.  Even just staying at a bed and breakfast in the next town over is a very cheap way to unwind and reconnect!
Place you most want to visit
Bora Bora, Tahiti.  My dream honeymoon is in one of those huts out on the water!

Vacation/Travel necessities
Two things.  A camera and spontaneity. When you're traveling it's important to try an see everything you possibly can! Don't be afraid to leave your comfort zone and try a new food, or explore a new city.  You never know what you'll discover! And of course you need your camera so you can blog remember every detail!  Looking back at pictures from my past vacations is my favorite thing to do.  It's a quick 5 minute vacation I can take whenever I want! :)
I can't wait to hear about all of your favorite trips!
