How I Met Your Father

I know I'm a day late for this link-up, but I just couldn't get it together in time!
But, talking about my honey is my favorite topic so better late than never.

1. Tell us about how and when you met your love and what attracted you most to him.
Dom and I met while we were studying abroad in Sydney, Australia.  The funniest part is that at first, I wasn't interested at all!  We barely knew each other, and I took his quietness for being cocky, and didn't give him a second thought.  Then, at the end of our semester I happened to go to Fiji with him and we've been together ever since!  The things that attracted me most to him were his kindness, sincerity, and the fact that he always kept his word.  I know those seem random, but they really stuck out to me, especially compared with past relationships.  Oh, and he's a cutie too. :)
 2. Show us the very first {or one of the first} pictures you guys ever took together. {Feel free to show us more than one}

3. Tell us some of your favorite memories that you two had together.
SO MANY. Especially since we were long distance for 2 years, we spent all the time we had together making great memories! Obviously, our time in Fiji is a favorite, since it's where it all began!  Also, little things like traveling to NY for his fraternity formals was always so fun, and same when he'd come to DC for me!  We spent a week out in Montauk right after I graduated college, and that will always be marked as one of (if not the) best week of my life.  We were together, just us, for a whole week.  It was a first, and it was heaven!  Since college, I love spending holidays with him and our families, and most recently our last week spent traveling all around Europe! Now that we're living together, my favorite moments are on the couch with wine and X-factor.  Anytime we're together is a wonderful memory!

4. Tell us your favorite qualities about this man, what makes him "the one."
Dom is so loving, kind, always knows what to do, honest, smart, driven, cuddly (don't tell), goofy, selfless and sincere. One time he drove 7 hours both ways to visit me in DC for one night. I could go on and on about all the reasons I love him! Oh, and he cooks and cleans too :) 
 
5. Tell us what your "date nights" typically look like.
When we were in school we had a place in each city.  We had a favorite sushi spot in Georgetown we always went to when he visited me, and our favorite date spot is Chocolate and Vines, a chocolate and wine bar in Rochester.  We would always go there to escape the fraternity house!  Now our date nights consist of cooking dinner and wine while watching our shows.  If we're feeling wild we will go downtown for a drink our two somewhere outside, but we're saving money now so we keep it simple!
