Happy New Year!
Did you know when I was little I used to cry every New Year's Eve?
I would get so sad thinking that I would never ever live in that year again.
I clearly have issues letting things go...
As I got older I started looking forward to going to New Year's parties and getting to wear as much glitter as humanly possible.
I started looking forward to new beginnings, and looking forward to what the new year would bring.
2013 is going to be a big one.
Dom is retaking the MCAT again at the end of the month, and could potentially get into medical school in March.
That would mean he can apply for the Navy Scholarship...
...which could mean he would head to officer something training for 2 months in Rhode Island in June.
Leaving me alone in Florida.
Resolution 1: Start making friends. STAT.
It's also guaranteed that if Dom gets into medical school that we will go back to long distance. There are no schools for either of us in West Palm, and my only choice is Miami...where none of his schools are!
Resolution 2: Squeeze every ounce of love and excitement out of living with my man.
It's the year when I will go back to school for nutrition and hopefully start my journey to a career I love. I also want to continue playing with my camera and explore how I can take my lifelong love of taking pictures and turn it into a more meaningful pastime.
Resolution 3: Find my passion, and run with it.
What are your resolutions?
Wishing Dom the best of luck!
ReplyDeleteI wish you both luck with whatever happens with medical school...it must be difficult to want him to meet that goal but also have to be separated if he does!
ReplyDeleteGooood lucckk to all of these!!
ReplyDeleteAmazing goals!
Happy New Year!!
Have both of you considered UF? They have a great medical school and nutrition programs. It is a wonderful university (says a biased alumni.) Enjoy your time together and know that any long distance is just a means to an end. I spent several days in PBG over the holidays and plenty of time at my favorite mall.
ReplyDeleteI'll be your friend! ;) haha
ReplyDeleteI hope you have an amazing new year girl!!
Good luck to you!!
ReplyDeleteYou had me at "as much glitter as humanly possible" :)
