Tuesday Topics- Bring On The Sparkle!

I love when I can't think of anything to post about and then remember there's a link up I have been meaning to join for a long time!
I'm finally joining Tiffany and Lauren's Tuesday Topics Link Up! This week is 3 pieces of jewelry.
Bring on the sparkle!

First is my all time favorite piece of jewelry
(obviously tied with anything Dom has given me, 'cause I'm sentimental like that)
This beauty is the David Yurman Albion ring my parents got me for my college graduation! It's so pink, and so sparkly...basically so me! My hand has never been the same since I slid this baby on it. :)

Second, a necklace I am dying to have!
Love me some Tiffany's and anchors.
Could this be any more perfect?

And third, something I think every girl can't live without...
A cutout monogram necklace!
I love this one from Swell Caroline.
I'm holding out till I'm married so I can wear it forever. :)

On a totally separate topic (haha. I'm hilarious), I want to introduce you to Kiersten from Good Day Sunshine!
Kiersten is an incredible writer.  I know you might think that should be a given in blog land, but she's a different kind of writer.  I like to write to remember things, and maybe get a laugh or two.  Kiersten is one of those writers who can make you feel, think, and get goosebumps with only a few sentences.  Her letters to a love series puts every feeling a single girl feels into heartfelt and sincere letters which, if you're anything like me, will make you want to run out and find the perfect man and place him on her doorstep.  Until then, Kiersten shares her reasons to smile every week.  A girl with that outlook on like is one you should really get to know. :)

Just Keep Swimming!

I'm going to be honest with you all.  I haven't answered an email or read a blog in over a week.
My bloglovin' roll is well over 600 and it's giving me anxiety.  Every time I sit down to look at it I get overwhelmed and walk away.  I've gotten up three times already in the time it took me to write these five sentences.  This feels a lot like this whole month of April.  It's been big things and small things, but I am so ready for this month to be over.  May is my birthday month, so I have high hopes that it will be a great one. :)

Just like there have been big things and little things that have brought me down, there have been big things and little things that lifted me back up.  Like Friday, Dom and I used a Groupon and headed to a restaurant downtown.  The food wasn't great, but it was the first time in a long time Dom and I just sat outside and chatted.  Of course, meeting Erin and Disney were amazing too!  Then, there's always Pinterest (surprise surprise).  When you're feeling down, lost and not yourself, "life quotes" seem to get to you more.  These ones hit me right in the heart...

Last but not least, there's good old Nemo with "just keep swimming."
And that's exactly what I plan to do.
Happy Monday, friends.

Sooo, I'm going to be a Registered Dietitian (step 1)!

Well, one of my many unknowns this year can be checked off.  Starting this summer, I'm going back to school to the University of Alabama to get my second degree in Nutrition & Dietetics!

After I get this degree, I can apply for an accredited internship, then sit for the boards to get my RD! Besides talking about being gluten-free, I don't talk much about food and nutrition on here, but it's something both Dom and I are very passionate about! Between my food allergies and Dom's extremely healthy lifestyle, we're always trying to figure out the best and most delicious meals we can both eat together.

The best part?  Since I already have a science based degree, I can take all of the classes by distance, which means regardless of where Dom goes to medical school, I can go too! I can't tell you how much of a weight has been lifted off my shoulders! I love that I'm finally moving forward in my life, and Dom and I don't have to go through more years of long distance and stress.  Now all I have to say is... Roll Tide!!! :)

And now, some ladies who absolutely do not need my help in looking fabulous :)

First up is Jordyn from The Princess Diaries. Clicking through to her blog is seriously like stepping into Tiffany's, with a caffeine induced, sorority twist.  Covered in pink glitter. In the best way possible.  Jordyn is a Seattle based nanny who dreams of summer and spends most days chasing three little ones!  When she's not watching other peoples' babies, she's taking care of her adorable, yet mentally unstable puppy, Boo! Besides every day life, on her blog you will find gorgeous vacation pictures, some seriously cute crafts, and gorgeous fashion.  What are you waiting for?

***

Brandi is the beauty behind Brooklyn State of Mind! She is the mom to the adorable little Brooklyn, and gives great advice, like how to scar your children for life, and how to survive with children.  Brandi is a lover of dance parties, dirty martinis, and fashion.  Seriously, you will die when you see these nautical outfits!  She is not afraid to get a little controversial, like in this post (I'm not a mama yet, but I completely agree!) Head on over and say hello!

 ***

I'm Nicole, the lady behind the blog Treasure Tromp. My blog started as a way to document my attempts at finding life's hidden treasures ... and as a way to distract myself from my PhD program in psychology (don't tell my professors). When I'm not studying or working on program evaluations, I like to hike and camp around southern California, obsess over hedgehogs, and make a mess in the kitchen. And I'm about to start a whole new adventure by moving to South Africa for 6 months! Come stop by my blog to say hello - can't wait to meet you! love love!

I Can't Believe!

I can't believe... how obsessed I am with Blake Shelton's "Sure be cool if you did." I could listen to it on repeat for days and not get tired of it!

I can't believe... I had never heard of pickled eggs until yesterday. Have I been living under a rock? It's not that I hadn't ever tried one, I had literally never even heard of them! Must say, I'm definitely a fan.  Does that make me weird?

I can't believe... How much I love this post by Katie.  SO many delicious and healthy recipes in one place! Dom and I looked at this post together and just drooled.  Okay, not really...but almost.

I can't believe... I don't have tickets to see any country concerts this summer.  Country concerts DEFINE summer for me usually!  I guess that's what happens when you're broke.  But Luke, if you're reading this, feel free to come give me a private concert. Right here. Right now. ;)

I can't believe...How hard I laughed at this ecard! I literally don't know why it strikes me as so hilarious, but there were actual tears, and every time I look at it again, I laugh just as hard.

Good Day, Sunshine!

-->
"Good Day Sunshine is a collection of essays, stories, and midnight ramblings inspired by life, The Beatles, and the beautiful sunshine." -Kiersten

Hello, loves!  Today I have the pleasure of introducing you to Kiersten from Good Day Sunshine!
Here are some snippets about this lovely lady, and don't forget to check out her blog to see more!

If you could describe your blog in one word, what would it be and why?

Random!

It really is, especially because it’s a lifestyle blog.  One day I’ll be posting about my baking disasters and the next I’m writing a series of letters to the boyfriend/husband I haven’t met yet So hopefully you don’t mind inconsistency...

Show/tell us the quote that defines your life

I know this seems like a copout, but I don’t think any one song or quote will define anybody’s life.  People are way to broad for that!  But I love quotes, so here are a couple of my current favorites:

“And though she be but little, she is fierce.” - Shakespeare

“I love her, and that’s the beginning and end of everything” - F. Scott Fitgerald

“What a treacherous thing to think that a person is more than a person” - John Green

“No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world” - Dead Poet’s Society

What can people expect when they click over to your blog?

Everything! (well, except for fashion....you’re not going to find any of that)  Good Day Sunshine is incredibly random, so you can find just about anything over there.  Mostly though, you’ll find my day-to-day life, my thoughts that I like to tell myself are philosophical and need to be shared, and my photographs.

The Most Wonderful Weekend Of All!

It doesn't even seem REAL.  It was that good.
When I woke up Saturday morning, I could have sworn it was a dream.
This could not possibly be real life.
But it was!!
Yeah, yeah, Disney is great and I'll get to that, but this weekend was so unreal because I finally got to meet...
ERIN!
I can't even.
Between the heat, drinks, love, and our men taking the pictures, we have about 238472834 outtakes and maybe 1 decent picture. BUT. I wouldn't have asked for anything different. :)

This whole meeting did not seem real until about 10 minutes before it happened.  Dom and I were stuck in Downtown Disney traffic, and I was seriously starting to die from butterflies.  I told Erin I was nervous, but good nervous, like I was nervous for the first date with a really hot guy I knew I would marry someday. Now that's love!

As we were walking towards our meeting place, Dom spotted Erin and Jared waving from up above and I freaked out.  Our convo went a little like this.

Robin: OMG. Do I look charming and fun?
Dom: No.
Robin: Okay.

I don't think he understood the magnitude of the moment!  After spending 2 minutes that seemed like 2 hours trying to figure out how to get in the bowling alley/bar, we finally made it in, flew to the top level and BAM. My life was made.

I seriously felt like Erin has been my real life best friend forever.  There was no awkwardness or shyness.  When a good song came on I had no hesitation to start my wiggle happy dance.  And you know what? Jared wiggled right along with me! The three hours flew by and I was literally heartbroken to say goodbye.  Luckily, I forgot her present in the car so they were forced to come to the parking lot with us and I got 10 extra minutes!

Erin- I did not think I could love you more than I already did, but my love grew tenfold! You are such an amazing person, and I am SO glad to call you a real life forever friend. :) See you again SOON!

And now, a few outtakes because I love you :)
I mean...really?

Last but not least...
Man bonding! We couldn't have been happier :)

My First High 4 For Friday!

I've seen this link up every Friday forever and am finally getting around to joining in!
After last week being so rough, I'm happy to focus on 5 amazing things about this week! :)

1. Does this need an explanation?!? In case you haven't noticed (which would be hard, since I've been talking about this non-stop) I'M MEETING ERIN TONIGHT!!! Words cannot express how excited I am for this moment! I've already warned her my inner sorority girl will come out screaming and hugging...I hope she is ready. ;)

2. After a night of loving on Erin, I get to finally make my dreams come true and spend the day at Disney! I literally can't wait.  Dom, however, is probably still trying to find a way out.  Just wait...he's going to love it.

3. On Wednesday I got to have drinks with one of my childhood best friends! She moved away when we were 13, and the last time I saw her was my 16th birthday!  It was such a fun surprise to be able to get together and catch up.

4. My "jury duty" day turned into a pretty darn awesome day off!  They never even called my name for questioning, so I just got to watch movies all day, and take an hour and a half lunch outside in the Florida sun!  Last time I ever complain about jury duty!

5. This one is technically sad, but Party Nana is heading back to NY on Saturday! The happy part is we're going out to celebrate her last night, and hopefully Party Nana will be out in full force! We're definitely going to miss her :)

Happy Friday!

I Can't Believe...

I can't believe... I couldn't get the linky tool to work last week! Sorry for the blogger fail! Hopefully everything works smoothly this time. :)

I can't believe... it's 2pm and I've been chilling here at jury duty since 7:45.  They haven't called anyone back since 11, so I've just been getting paid while watching movies and catching up on blogs and emails! Can't really say I mind...

I can't believe... I am finally going to Disney this weekend! Even if it's only for the day, I just can't wait to see the castle :)

I can't believe... how nice the people I work with are.  Sometimes it shocks me how much people actually care! insert awww

I can't believe... Party Nana leaves on Saturday! Our lives are about to get a lot more sober.

I can't believe... TODAY IS APRIL 17th!! 4 years ago I had my little "heart attack," and 3 years ago was one of the best days of my life.  I wrote about it on April 17th last year, and shared my secret to happiness.  After the week I just had, I don't think it could be any more appropriate today!

Currently I am...

Listening to Brad Paisley's new album.  Which means I finally put a pause on Florida Georgia Line and Nelly's Cruise remix!

Praying for  Boston, and Felicia.  So much hurt this past week.

Excited TO MEET ERIN IN A FEW SHORT DAYS!!! It honestly still seems like it's forever away, I can't believe it's so soon!

Addicted to The Real Housewives of The OC.  I am not a huge Real Housewives fan at all, but for some reason I love the OC wives!

Not so excited for jury duty tomorrow.  Not sure what to expect, but I'm hoping they don't pick me!

Drinking good old Jack & Ginger.

Watching Shameless! Just started season 1 and I love it. Do any of you watch?

Eating homemade burrito bowls a la Dom! So divine :)

Feeling wet. Love getting caught in a torrential downpour without an umbrella!

Loving unexpected acts of kindness.

Celebrating Adam Scott winning the Masters! I'm not going to pretend I know/care about golf at all, but it was fun watching the very end and seeing an Aussie win! Plus, he's kind of nice on the eyes. ;)

Hoping you didn't miss the great ladies who graced my blog yesterday!

Monday, Nothing A Cupcake Can't Fix

Oh hey, Karma, I see you.
So last Monday I talked about my bummer of a weekend, so life decided to throw a curveball and make this one worse! After being heartbroken for Felicia, I managed to T-bone someone while pulling out of work on Friday.  Coming from a girl who has never gotten a parking ticket, it was a traumatic day.  Soooo instead of being a debbie downer, I'm doing to turn to my main squeeze Jack Daniels and turn you over to three amazing ladies you definitely don't want to miss!  My favorite part of taking sponsors is finding blogs I might not have come across otherwise, and falling in love!  Can't wait to share them with you!

***

I knew I liked Martha the minute I read her blog name, A Southern Transplant
We all know that is my dream! Then, I fell in love a little more when she admitted to being a spazz. I literally laughed out loud reading about some of her most embarrassing incidents (think a totally embarrassing moment, and then realizing you have an audience)!  Martha is a native Ohioan, transplanted to South Carolina, an amazing mom to 4, and a wife to one, who has a shocking redneck side.  Her blog gives you a great window into her life now, but it was this post that really showed me her heart.  It is a post no single girl should miss!

Miss Rinnie is a hilarious AUSSIE who blogs about her life in...you guess it...Australia!  She will have you rolling with her favourite words post (just try and say these curse words in an Australian accent without laughing), and wishing you could hop on a plane when you see posts like this.  Rinnie just recently graduated from uni, and may or may not have pretended she was at Hogwarts the whole time (girl after my own heart).  Still not convinced?
Go read her take on the evolution of partying. But if you do buy a ticket, please bring me?

Last, but certainly not least, is Sara from Pearls & Curls!
Sara is a 20-something college student from Atlanta, who clearly loves anything involving pearls, curls, drunk pinning, and monograms...with a hint of bourbon. So, while you're reading this, grab some bourbon (or, you know, coffee since this is posting in the morning) and read this post.  I guarantee you'll take a step back next time twitter drama explodes! Sara also hosts a super fun Saturday Instagram Recap link-up! It's the perfect way to put all those million instagram pictures you take daily to good use.  Plus, it's the perfect way to glimpse into a bloggers life.  After seeing this recap, I wanted to jump inside her blog and live there.  Creepy? Maybe.  But pop on over and I bet you'll feel the same!

Happy Monday, ladies.  Here's to a better week!

Oh my dear...

Dear My sweet, beautiful, perfect Felicia: I wish you could feel how much my heart hurts for you.  I literally almost drove off the road when my mom told me the news.  I cannot imagine your loss.  The thought of my father not walking me down the aisle is literally unimaginable.  My heart is so broken. Keep breathing. I love you so much. I know your dad is smiling from heaven knowing you have someone like Kevin to watch out for you, and love you enough for both of them. <3

Dear everything else in the world: Sorry, but you don't really seem to matter right now.

Dear Airlines: I hate you for being so expensive I can't jump on a plane right now to squeeze my Felicia. Damn you.

And just so this isn't totally a debbie downer post...

Dear Sushi Friday: Friday is SO much more fun now that I know I get sushi too!
Dear Friday in general: You got here quickly this week! Thanks for that. ;)

Dear Soldier who frantically waved and honked at me on the way to work yesterday: Yay 101st Airborne!!! Your enthusiasm over my bumper sticker totally made my day :)

Dear Erin: I SEE YOU IN A WEEK!!!! Even though I have been a blob this week I am SO excited!! This is not real life. Also, Happy Anniversary :)  I'm so glad I left you that first comment!

Dear Dom: Don't have anything special to say today except... I love you. :)
