My bloglovin' roll is well over 600 and it's giving me anxiety. Every time I sit down to look at it I get overwhelmed and walk away. I've gotten up three times already in the time it took me to write these five sentences. This feels a lot like this whole month of April. It's been big things and small things, but I am so ready for this month to be over. May is my birthday month, so I have high hopes that it will be a great one. :)
Just like there have been big things and little things that have brought me down, there have been big things and little things that lifted me back up. Like Friday, Dom and I used a Groupon and headed to a restaurant downtown. The food wasn't great, but it was the first time in a long time Dom and I just sat outside and chatted. Of course, meeting Erin and Disney were amazing too! Then, there's always Pinterest (surprise surprise). When you're feeling down, lost and not yourself, "life quotes" seem to get to you more. These ones hit me right in the heart...
Last but not least, there's good old Nemo with "just keep swimming."
And that's exactly what I plan to do.
Happy Monday, friends.

I love all of these quotes. Thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteOhhhh I so needed this today! April has been the craziest month for me and I've definitely walked away from my email, and computer altogether, more times than I can count. But I've also found that means I'm really living life, so I'm trying to both catch up but also be OK with being "absent" for a bit ;)
ReplyDeleteCheers to a new (wonderful!) month, sweet friend!
Great quotes. It is so true that sometimes life gets crazy and you have to just keep going knowing that it will ease up soon. :)
ReplyDeleteGREAT post! and the "just keeping swimming" quote is my favorite :) It's so easy to let life bring us down sometimes, need to always remember there's something to be happy about and SMILE!
ReplyDeleteI've been feeling the same way lately. Seems April has been quite the month for plenty of people. It's always good to stay positive & always find the good no matter the situation. Love all the quotes you shared. Have a wonderful Monday :)

Love those. Enjoy your Monday!
ReplyDeleteAwww hope you start to feel better soon!!! I'm here to chat, always! Love you!
ReplyDeleteI love the quotes! Here's to May being better (it's my birthday month too!) :)
ReplyDeleteI seem to have the April blues, too. I get stressed out even looking at my personal/blog email. Hopefully after we move May will be better.
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree with the one about creating your own sunshine!
ReplyDeleteWhile April has been GREAT for me... and I'm so so thankful we had a chance to meet this month... I hope your MAY is even better. It's your birthday month so I'd appreciate it if you'd celebrate it all month long, Erin style!! Love ya girl!!
ReplyDeleteMay is my birthday month too. It's going to be the best month of the whole year so far, so just get ready.
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel girl and my heart hurts knowing you are probably feeling a lot like I've been feeling the last 6 months-year (I'm currently nearing the end of "my year," at least I hope I am!) Thanks for sharing these quotes! Definitely needed!
ReplyDeleteLove the quotes!! I hope next month is better for you... birthdays should be celebrated all month long! ;)
ReplyDeleteoh man, I am right there with you. we'll make it through!
ReplyDeleteCelebrate that birthday starting tomorrow miss thing ;)
ReplyDeleteAlso -- my favorite was "I refuse to sink", gave me chills. I love that!
I had the same blog anxiety! Over the weekend while I was working, my bloglovin' roll got up to about 350. I finally sat down today and went through it all and I feel better, haha! I keep finding new and awesome people to follow (such as yourself) so it's not such a chore when you finally sit down and go through it. Hope you'll follow me back!

Love all these quotes! I've definitely had blog anxiety before, where I'm so overwhelmed with the fact that I haven't been getting through everything that I can't get anything done. April has also been a less-than-pleasant month for me, overall, but it has certainly had its good moments. I definitely hope May is better for everyone!

ReplyDeleteMay is only a day away! :)
ReplyDeleteI've come to realize that keeping up with 200+ blogs is unrealistic and it takes dedication and commitment to read blogs, write blogs posts and answer emails. Just do it at your pace and enjoy REAL life as much as you can. Yes the blogging community is amazing and I'm so happy with the ladies I've "met" through blogging but my real life and family will always take #1 priority in my life. I'm at a little over 300 unread blog posts since last Friday and I'm not letting my anxiety get the best of me. Read as much or as little as you can and live your life, Robin. Here's to May only getting better & less crazy!
ReplyDeleteYou know what you need to do? Go into bloglovin and click "mark all as read". It will feel so liberating :) I just did it last week. There was no way I could catch up!
