Sooo, I'm going to be a Registered Dietitian (step 1)!

Well, one of my many unknowns this year can be checked off.  Starting this summer, I'm going back to school to the University of Alabama to get my second degree in Nutrition & Dietetics!

After I get this degree, I can apply for an accredited internship, then sit for the boards to get my RD! Besides talking about being gluten-free, I don't talk much about food and nutrition on here, but it's something both Dom and I are very passionate about! Between my food allergies and Dom's extremely healthy lifestyle, we're always trying to figure out the best and most delicious meals we can both eat together.

The best part?  Since I already have a science based degree, I can take all of the classes by distance, which means regardless of where Dom goes to medical school, I can go too! I can't tell you how much of a weight has been lifted off my shoulders! I love that I'm finally moving forward in my life, and Dom and I don't have to go through more years of long distance and stress.  Now all I have to say is... Roll Tide!!! :)

And now, some ladies who absolutely do not need my help in looking fabulous :)

First up is Jordyn from The Princess Diaries. Clicking through to her blog is seriously like stepping into Tiffany's, with a caffeine induced, sorority twist.  Covered in pink glitter. In the best way possible.  Jordyn is a Seattle based nanny who dreams of summer and spends most days chasing three little ones!  When she's not watching other peoples' babies, she's taking care of her adorable, yet mentally unstable puppy, Boo! Besides every day life, on her blog you will find gorgeous vacation pictures, some seriously cute crafts, and gorgeous fashion.  What are you waiting for?

Brandi is the beauty behind Brooklyn State of Mind! She is the mom to the adorable little Brooklyn, and gives great advice, like how to scar your children for life, and how to survive with children.  Brandi is a lover of dance parties, dirty martinis, and fashion.  Seriously, you will die when you see these nautical outfits!  She is not afraid to get a little controversial, like in this post (I'm not a mama yet, but I completely agree!) Head on over and say hello!

I'm Nicole, the lady behind the blog Treasure Tromp. My blog started as a way to document my attempts at finding life's hidden treasures ... and as a way to distract myself from my PhD program in psychology (don't tell my professors). When I'm not studying or working on program evaluations, I like to hike and camp around southern California, obsess over hedgehogs, and make a mess in the kitchen. And I'm about to start a whole new adventure by moving to South Africa for 6 months! Come stop by my blog to say hello - can't wait to meet you! love love!

  7. Good luck. I went back to school after getting a bachelor's degree. First was in music. Second was in nursing. It was the best decision of my life, even if it meant I was busting my butt. You can do it:)
