What the Duck?

I can already cross off one of my October goals off my list.
On Wednesday, Dom and I went into Pittsburgh to see the giant rubber duck!
I wasn't kidding.  It is massive! 40 feet to be exact.
I'll admit I've been a little over excited about this duck, but I have good reason.
I obviously stalk a million Australia instagrams, and earlier this year I saw so many pictures of this duck in Sydney Harbor and Darling Harbor, and thought it was the funniest thing!
Then, my mom sent me an article about "The Rubber Duck Project" making its American debut in Pittsburgh!
Insert crazy rubber ducky obsession...
...and lots of bribery to get Dom to drive the 45 minutes there and back to stare at a duck.
But finally, he caved, and it was amazing.
The Rubber Ducky project was started by a Dutch artist in Amsterdam.  It has floated from Amsterdam, to Brussels, Sao Paulo, Hong Kong, Australia, and finally America!
The reason behind the project is basically, who can look at a massive rubber ducky and not smile?
It's so true.  Even Dom, Mr. I-can't-believe-I-drove-here-for-a-duck couldn't help but smile.
No matter that language you speak or where in the world you live, everyone can come together and be happy over a silly massive duck.
It totally made my day and I will most likely be making at least one more trip to visit it in the next month!
